Gorse was a planet, which was home to a band of resistance fighters. On this planet, a revolution broke out between the rebels and the Galactic Empire.
Appearance wise, the planet was universally known for its hideousness, as it was commonly referred to as "the ugliest planet in the galaxy". One side of the planet was scorched, rendering it uninhabitable. The other side, however, was very populated, despite its permanent darkness.
On the planet's dark side was an enormous industrial city, amid a landscape of strip mines.
